I absolutely love the Elaa backpack. During the work week I use it to move my laptop and other work gear from my home office to wherever else I'm going. When the weekend hits, I take it on all my other adventures. I even brought it on my vacation to Italy last year!
This boot bag has been a game changer. I have very narrow foot and a narrow last boot. After developing arthritis in my foot, getting boots on in the morning has been painful. This heated boot bag has made an incredible difference. Super high quality and great warranty.
I have owned this bag and used regularly for ~10 years without issue, ~100 ski days per year and regular ski travel by plane and car. It is still in great shape. I love the compartments, the ability to organize everything the way I like and the ability to vent the boot compartments.
I love this thing!!! Not only was it well designed so that it'll fit all my stuff, but when I get to the mountain and tell my friends, "Here, feel my boots" they are shocked and all want heated bag as well!! And the bonus is that my layers (that fit well in the middle compartment) are also warm.
Now here's the even better part. After a few months, one side lost its heat. This isn't a complaint because, you know, stuff happens. But when I contacted Kulkea and filled out the warranty form, they were immediate in their response and put a new set of heating pads in the mail right away. They even have a great video on how to replace the heating pads. Not only do I love the bag, but a company with that sort of amazing customer service has earned my respect and my business. I tell everybody I bump into about this bag. Hope you folks go far!!!
Great bag. Going to use this as my "extra" bag for my heavy stuff as I travel a lot with my office. Not quite enough small pockets for pens/business cards/adapters/earpods, etc. to make it my only bag. However, the bag has the GREAT Kulkea build and a LOT of room.
Great Kulkea build quality with big sections that keep things separated but still leave a lot of room. My new favorite sports bag for summer/travel activities.
First off, let me say that I’m a HUGE fan of Kulkea boot/ski bags since my first purchase of the Speed Pack boot bag. My FAVORITE feature of that bag is the front full zip-down access that you can easily pack an entire ski outfit in, including helmet, socks, gloves, jacket and ski pants. So awesome that you just unzip the front and you can easily view all your items at once and grab what you need. With that being said, when I purchased this Boot Trekker bag, I mistakenly thought this was a Kulkea signature feature - because what an awesome design!- and my mistake- I should’ve read the specs thoroughly before purchasing. The compartmentalization of this bag is great…if you like that, but I found it annoying and impractical that I didn’t have full view of my items, and access from the front, as with this bag, the main compartment is loaded from the top as in a traditional TransPak. I actually rectified this by cutting out the thin material that divided the front from the back, and now I have what I wanted, so I’m happy ?, but Kulkea made a mistake IMO, in changing this awesome design feature. Also, I have these two bags side by side, and NO WAY is this bag bigger than the Speed Pack…absolutely no way. Apparently the volume in this bag in 70, vs the Speed bag which they state is 54….not possible. I’m going to Breckenridge and packed my Speed bag with all my things in the event this bag didn’t arrive in time, and couldn’t fit everything in the Trekker bag that I had in the Speed Pack- not even close! I can tell just by eyeballing it- this bag is way more narrow. I’ll def keep it as it’s very durable and will be my everyday boot bag, but hoping they combine the materials of this bag, with the open concept of the Speed pack….and this combo will make this girl extremely excited! ?
Absolutely love the construction and quality of this bag. However. The storage space for clothing etc is absolutely too small. Make the gear area 4” wider and you have a winner here. Will be returning both bags too Amazon. Disappointed.
I instantly regretted this purchase wondering how I can afford this bag. Shipped and received wicked fast, about 3.5 days. Unboxed and plugged in. Wow, this may be my favorite purchase in a long time. Its great to be organized with all your gear but the heat is where its at. Turn on a few hours prior to leaving. You can plug back into your vehicle to keep it extra warm. It's sooo sweet slipping those normally rock hard plastic boots on. Enough room for coat, bibs, hats, gloves, Sox, all of it. I love this bag. Don't hesitate. Built very solid, should last for years to come. I am looking at their ski bags too! Great product.
Without a doubt the best backpack I've ever owned. I've used it both as a boot bag and as a travel pack and it's excelled at both. Very roomy central pocket that fits my ski boots perfectly or enough clothes to last for a week. Separate compartment that can be accessed in two ways that fits my laptop plus other flat things like books. I bought the pack that attaches to the top, very handy for stuff that requires quick access during a trip (passports, wallet, spare battery pack, charging cords, etc.). The thoughtfulness of the design shines through in so many details and in the quality of construction. Can't say enough good things. Well worth the money.
I use my Elaa bag every time I go on a trip. It’s safely holds my laptop, along with all my essentials, and I love that it has that top pocket that I can access while the bag is closed or while the top of it is open. It stands upright and doesn’t top all over. It has a gorgeous side water bottle holder with a magnetic closure so it doesn’t flap around when not in use. and so many pockets! Highly recommend!
Not sure about the bag yet but they charge you $15 dollars shipping but seem to ship it using the cheapest possible option so it takes two weeks. So they are trying to make a profit on the shipping as well it seems. This better be a damn good bag when it finally arrives.
I grabbed this for my trip out to CO last season and it was absolutely the right decision. Very well-designed. I expect this will be with me for a long time!
Very impressed with quality of this pack, and all of the thought that went into the design (helmet strap, soft area for googles, sunglass, etc.) I ordered one for myself to check the size and will get one for my wife as well for our upcoming ski trip overseas. I can see this being used for non-ski travel as well. Very nice!
I feel like this bag was designed by the ski gods themselves! Kulkea really thought of everything when it comes to the ski day experience - plus the quality feels very premium!
i’ve been looking for a snowboard back pack that would fit all of my gear including my boots, and this is perfect. the side pockets are perfect for the boots and the center fits my snow pants, helmet, and jacket with some little pockets for here and there things. i love this bag and i can’t wait to use it this season!
This is an outstanding ski bag. My wife and I each took one on a ski trip to Canada last winter. Ours was marketed as a single ski bag, but we each put in two pairs and they worked perfectly by using the exterior straps to secure the skis. Really nice to have all the inside pockets to keep items clean and organized. Lots of carry handle options which we found easy to use without the extra weight and bulk of adding wheels. Both bags arrived home at the end of the trip looking like new. Just bought another one for us and one for our son.
Love it, all of it! Tons of room. Tons of pockets. The center pocket allows for all sorts of extras. Carrying your gear just isn’t the same when they make it this easy. It’s built with a purpose & built to last. Great bag. Can’t wait to get back out there with it.
I got this for my boyfriend who wanted to be able to carry all his ski gear on his back and he absolutely loves this. He took it up with him to Vermont this past weekend and said it made everything so much smoother. I was also amazed how quickly this arrived! Looking forward to seeing what other products this company makes in the future!
I love the color of the blue gradient bag. Overall this bag is awesome. One tweak would be to make the boot pockets with double zipper so you can open it part way. I have also added a buckle to the shoulder straps so I can buckle the 2 straps together. This keeps the straps from falling off when I'm walking carrying my skis. This would be a good addition from the maufacturer as well.
1. Wish the bag had no ID panel- this iron on "decal" cheapens the look of the bag. People can add an ID tag to any strap or handle. I am returning it because the ID panel ruins the look of the bag. 2. Would be nice if the handle was hard plastic or thick nylon instead the rubberised material coating the handle. Other than those two flaws, the bag is well engineered. Nice that there are separate boot compartments to keep the boots from scraping against each other during transport. Generous center storage. Also good the bottom is non-PVC.
Best hydro pack I've owned or seen. The fit on the back is perfect. You can barely feel it. Super light weight. Holds more than enough water for a long ride. All the little features and pockets seem to be very well thought out and user friendly. I would recommend this pack for anyone. Very, very happy with it!
After reviewing ski bags in a lot of detail, I settled on this ski bag, because of the size and the way everything fits in the bag. When I received it, I was by the amount of room available in the bag. Not only do the skis and poles and specific places to be stored, they stay in place by velcro straps. In addition, there is even room for my helmet and most of all my ski clothes, which I wrap around my skis and poles. This is a great bag and very well made. This bag should last for years.
I ski solo with my young son and hauling all his gear to the lodge on top of my own was a struggle. Enter this awesome backpack! It's a perfect size for a 7 year old to carry everything needed for the day. The construction is great and I appreciate that it's simple (not too many compartments to lose things in). Also worked great for my son when his class went on a skating trip, another parent remarked on how easy it was for him to manage his gear.
I've coached ski racing for over 3 decades, and in all that time, I've never had a boot bag that met with my expectations until I bought this bag. Tons of room, heavy duty (and I mean heavy duty) zippers that don't pull apart at the seams or fail like almost every bag out there. Strong handles, good venting and drainage, all kinds of compartments for everything you need to ski with. Colors that still look good years later, stitching that hasn't pulled out yet anywhere on the bag. As you can imagine, as a coach I carry a lot of gear in my boot bag, and even with all the weight and yanking and pulling in and out of team vans, airline cargo handlers, and teenage athletes who are less than delicate with baggage, none of my seams have shown the least bit of wear. We're talking years of service, with gear going in and out of the bag almost daily during the season. I'm rarely, if ever impressed with modern day equipment, as everyone tries to make their stuff as cheap as possible so they can increase their bottom line. This bag is reasonably priced, and built to last years. If you are looking for the best bag out there, stop here and grab a Kulkea!!!!! I'm sure you'll be as impressed as I am. FYI, if (and I do mean IF) this bag ever does wear out, I'm buying another one straight away!!!!!
Just what I needed for working the lifts. Carries my boots, (ski boots, snowboard boots or my work boots) depending on where I start for the day. Also fits extra socks, gloves, hats, jacket and my food that I need. Plus a few necessary items for the day. Should work nicely for those ski trips in the future. Great bag.
I looked at a lot of different "Carry-On" ski boot bags and this bag is the best, most well thought out bag out there. The main interior section holds you ski boots and depending on your size of boot (I'm a 28.0), can hold my gloves goggles, soft fleece face masks, etc. There is also two zippered pockets in the main section where you can put your Outdoor Tech Chips ear buds or other small items, cords, etc. The padded back area is thick and very comfortable. There is a large zippered area right behind the padded back area for your 16" laptop or files. The large top section has around 2-3" thickness where you can store more clothes or toiletries or whatever you think you need to carry on in case your bags get delayed or lost. There is even a zippered interior pocket on the outside bottom that out comes a ski helmet strap that connects to 2 buckles with compression straps (if you want to take your helmet). What differentiates this bag from other ski bags is that it is a true Carry-On bag that is only about 8" think stuffed. Will fit overhead very easily and is very comfortable on your back. It even has a flap on the back to slip it through your handle on your rolling luggage along with a water bottle slot. If you really want a comfortable "Carry-On" bag that will easily fit overhead, this is it!
Wow! No more stiff, cold ski boots in the parking lot. Friends had recommended this product highly but it's even better than they promised. SOOO convenient to toss in my other outer gear too, bring it all out to the car and have it all warm and toasty for those early mornings on the slopes.
Got this along with the Kayda bag and have got say I'm also impressed with this product. I only take one pair of skis with me anywhere or the double would be an obvious choice. Beefier wheels and a little better clearance than some others I was looking at, hoping it takes corners okay lol. The straps inside sit in good positions as well. Wife usually rents if we travel anywhere but obvious bonus if she were to travel with her 153s it won't be a problem to move some straps around to reduce the size from the 190 I have it at. Top quality materials all around as well. Hoping it's the first and last ski bag I buy in my lifetime.
Blown away by the quality. Amazing features like the detachable bit for electronics. You could probably even get this thing under the seat with small boots. From a lifelong Dakine user, I have been converted.
My 8-year old can comfortably carry his own gear to races; light, very well made/durable with ample storage. I will likely order a second bag for myself. The boot pockets are large enough for my boots ( equivalent to 8 women's ). It can also be used for two pairs of skates ( 1 pair p/pocket ) and 2 helmets! Important to note that prices are listed in USD and if ordering to Canada you will need to pay a significant customs fee.
