The
draw of bluebird skies and spring temperatures brings dedicated skiers, weekend warriors and fair weather fans alike to ski resorts and mountains. The Vernal season also delivers events and huge festivals complete with live music, competitions, food and fun for all ages. Each spring we choose our favorite mountain events across the continent and share our top picks for the season. See our 9 celebratory ski events for 2020.

March 17 - March 27: Aspen, CO
Bud Light Spring Jam (opens in new window)
The 20th annual Spring Jam, the premier spring festival in the Rocky Mountains, will bring two weeks of competitions, downtown concerts and parties to Aspen Snowmass. Throughout March and April 2020, events include the return of Freestyle Friday, the Banked Slalom, KickAspen, CORE Party, free Hi-Fi concerts, and the Helly Hansen 4 MTN Mission competitive scavenger hunt adventure race. There's also an all-ages terrain Boot Camp on March 21-22.

March 26 - 28: Jackson Hole, WY
Jackson Hole Rendezvous (opens in new window)
The Jackson Hole Rendezvous is a free three day, spring lifestyle and music festival with the most iconic backdrops imaginable for their legendary music acts: historic downtown Jackson Town Square and the base of the Mountain Resort. Big acts like Bob Weir and Wolf Bros, and The record Company will get you moving during your epic spring après celebration.
March 28: Squaw Valley, CA

On March 28, Squaw Valley celebrates the legendary (and hilarious) late Shane McConkey with the 9th annual Pain McShlonkey. Dress up in your most outrageous ski duds and come out to Squaw Valley for a day full of belly laughs, camaraderie and philanthropy in celebration of legendary skier Shane McConkey. Join them for the Hot Dog Downhill, Costume Contest, Huge Raffle, Awards and more.

March 28 - 30: Stratton, VT
Marchdi Gras Village Winterfest (opens in new window)
Stratton never disappoints as it celebrates Marchdi Gras and the annual (Stratton Meets New Orleans) Block Party. Warm up with the World Famous NOLA Crawfish King for an Authentic Crawfish Boil. Cool it off again with the Penguin Plunge and then head over for Apres and live music at Grizzly’s.
April 1 - April 12: Steamboat, CO

Kicking off in April, lively festivities will celebrate springtime and the close of another great winter season in. Don’t miss out on the fun including two weeks of free concerts and entertaining events such as the Cardboard Classic and Splashdown Pond Skim.

April 3 - April 5: Sunday River, ME
Spring Fest (opens in new window)
Sunday's Spring Festival is a celebration of the return of Spring, complete with parties, music, and of course skiing and riding. One of the biggest spring parties in Northeast, complete with a huge, all-afternoon outdoor concert, Spring Fest's famous Pain Killers, BBQs, and drink selections. Friday night April, 3 kicks off with live music in the Shiprad Brew Haus, followed on Saturday by the 7th Annual Slip 'n' Flip and live music from The Gravel Project and Will Evans.
April 4 - 26: Winter Park Resort, CO
Spring Splash + Bash
Check out Winter Park for weekends full of free live music, special events, and great spring skiing. On April 4 the Uphill Battle for best costume, best poker hand and quickest time to the top gets the stoke pumping. Followed by TheBigWonderful Beerfest with live Bluegrass from Old Salt Union. The second weekend brings a Wild West Weekend, Easter Egg hunts. Weekend 3 bring the beach and the fourth 90's throwback followed by the Spring Splash.

April 9 - 12: Sugarloaf, ME
Reggae Fest
The biggest party in the East returns to Sugarloaf with the legendary Reggae Fest. Take in four days of good vibes, music and non-stop parties at the base of the mountain. Hit the slopes for great skiing and riding, then get moving to more than a dozen great local and national live music acts kicking off Thursday April 9; including Easy Star All Stars, Root Shock, The Big Takeover & Joint Operation.
April 16 - 26: Whistler, BC
World Ski & Snowboard Festival (opens in new window)
The event of all Spring skiing mountain events, Whistler's ski & snowboard festival combines spring energy with its unique mountain culture for 11 days of non-stop events and action on and off the slopes. Multiple ski and snowboard competitions, music, art, photography, film making and exciting nightlife, plus some of the best skiing of the season. With thousands of enthusiasts attending the event be sure to plan ahead and free up your calendar for this legendary annual event.
