Cleaning Your Reservoir

The Shape-Loc Reservoir opens wide for easy access and is simple to clean. We recommend either using a bottle brush or the all-natural Bottle Bright cleaning tablets.

Method One: Fill your reservoir with warm water and use a bottle brush along with mild soap to scrub it clean. Rinse well and hang it upside down to dry.
Method Two: Fill your reservoir with warm water and drop in one or two Bottle Bright tablets, slide the top close and let sit for fifteen to thirty minutes (depending on the amount of residue). Rinse and hang upside down to dry.
Tube and Bite Valve Cleaning

All of your reservoir components are removable for easy cleaning:
- Disconnect the drink tube from the reservoir
- Grasp the bite valve in one hand and tube in the other then pull the valve firmly to remove the bite valve from the tube
- Gently remove the silicone sheath from the valve and clean with Bottle Bright or mild soap and water
- Clean the inside of the tube by inserting a tube brush in the open end of the tube and scrub (we recommend the HydraPak Tube Brush)
- After drying the components, carefully reattach the sheath to the valve and re-install

Maintenance
When not in use, store your reservoir out of direct sunlight in a clean and dry place. For areas with high humidity, we recommend storing your clean and empty hydration system in the freezer to prevent moisture build up and possible mold growth.
We also recommend periodically applying a food grade lubricant to the slider rails of your reservoir and your Plug-N-Play O-Ring to keep them functioning at their best. A small dot of lubricant on the o-ring and slider rails is all you need to lightly coat each component. Too much lubricant can have a counterproductive effect, so go lightly with the application.
